Innovate UK Funding Opportunity - Scaling Out For Impact (SOFI-2) programme

The Scaling Out For Impact (SOFI-2) programme connects UK and South African SMMEs to find collaboration opportunities that improve accessibility of food, energy or water in underserved communities. Innovators / SMMEs will be eligible to apply for up to Ā£25,000 to co-create new solutions and business models to help build capacity for innovation and enterprise in disadvantaged communities.

We are looking for a maximum of 25 UK based innovative SMMEs to be part of the UK cohort. Applicants must: be UK registered, demonstrate TRL 4+ of the proposed solution, be willing to work collaboratively with South African partners, and capacity to self-fund a pilot project in South Africa before reimbursement by way of a grant.

Applicants must be available to travel to South Africa, funded by Innovate UK, to build partnerships in early April.

Applications close at 5 pm on 20th February 2024.
