Secure a funded intern from the University of Southampton for Summer 2024
The University of Southampton are providing funding for SETsquared platform companies to hire a student or graduate intern
Looking for an efficient, innovative and productive resource to boost your business? A graduate or student internship could be your solution. The internship scheme has a proven track record of supporting business growth; our students are motivated, talented and diverse, bringing fresh perspectives and ideas to your workplace.
Their students have been placed in a variety of roles such as marketing & media, events, fundraising, campaigns & promotion, software development, legal & compliance and research & analysis.
The offer
The University is able to offer some funding for companies to hire an intern on the condition that the internship opportunity is exclusive to their students and the successful student is paid the real living wage. The intern must be processed via the organisation’s pay roll and any associated on costs must be covered by the employer. Funding is limited and so will be allocated as before on a first come, first served basis, and at the University’s discretion.
Eligibility
- A minimum duration of 2 weeks or 70 hours
- The internship needs to provide a meaningful project, giving real value to a host organisation and allowing students a focus to develop their skills
- Internships need to be based in the UK
- All term-time internships must be part-time
- All internships must be exclusive to University of Southampton students
- Full-time internships are the equivalent of 35 working hours per week
