Innovate UK: The Future Tech Deep Dive Series

Building on the success of our previous events, Innovate UK are proud to introduce thenext Future Tech Deep Dive series, which will bring together thought-provoking experts from business, scientific backgrounds, academia and Government with curious, creative, and collaborative minds to discuss how technologies will develop over the course of the next 20-50 years.

The primary aim of this event series is to delve into the longer-term potential innovations within specific technology areas. Topics that we have considered previously encompass Future Semiconductors, Neuromorphic Computing, Nature-inspired Materials, Engineering Biology, and Telecommunications.

About the Event

Who should attend?

Senior academics, technologists, and scientific leaders from all sectors, any sized organisation and diverse backgrounds, primarily from businesses in roles with an interest in, or responsibility for future strategy.

What should you expect?

To provide context to discuss possible scenarios for the forthcoming semi-centennial. Our guest speakers will give their personal views on the long-term potential of a chosen technology topic.
Innovate UK’s Futurist, Jonathan Mitchener, will summarise what has been shared to set the scene and weave contributions together.

Participants will work in breakout room groups to reflect on the insights shared and collectively discuss the prospective technology developments raised and identify potential challenges and opportunities.
