Blood test that can detect 12 common cancers to be trialled on NHS

The "PanSeer" blood test, developed by biotech company Singlera Genomics, is designed to identify early signs of cancers — including bowel, lung, liver, and ovarian — before symptoms even appear.

Now, this innovative test is set to be trialled on 140,000 people across England, marking one of the most ambitious early-detection studies the NHS has ever run.

🔍 Why does it matter?
Early detection can make the difference between treatable and untreatable. If successful, this test could dramatically reduce late-stage diagnoses, shorten treatment times, and ultimately save lives — especially in hard-to-detect cancers.

It’s also another strong signal that the UK is embracing tech-powered healthcare innovation at scale.
